Today, we start our 2-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes. First, we will pick you up from your Riad/hotel in Marrakech early in the morning and drive to Merzouga Desert. As we pass through the High Atlas Mountains, you will be amazed by the breathtaking views. We will make a stop at the altitude of 2260 m so you can truly take in the beauty of the mountains.
Next, we will head to Ait Ben Haddou. There, at a great viewpoint, you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the Kasbah. This place is featured in so many Hollywood movies like Gladiator and Lawerence of Arabia.
After having lunch, we will continue our adventure across so many Berber villages. We will get to Merzouga Desert just in time for a lovely camel ride. After a lovely sunset on top of the Erg Chebbi dunes, you will get to the camp for a magical night. Enjoy Berber music under the starry sky after a delicious Moroccan dinner.
Day 2 begins early. You can wake up early to witness a memorable sunrise before we leave our desert camp in Merzouga. After enjoying a tasty breakfast, we will take you back to the village by camel or car (you can choose).
First of all, we will drive through the stunning Ziz Valley. We will stop there for a bit to enjoy the amazing view of the oasis filled with lots of palm trees. This place is perfect for some awesome photos.
Next, we will head to the cedar forest in Azrou. Keep your eyes open for Barbary macaques that live there. Afterward, we will move to the city of Ifrane, also known as the Switzerland of Morocco. There, you can have a walk and see the Atlas Lion Statue.
