This area is like a big maze filled with narrow paths, where local craftsmen and shopkeepers bring the streets to life. It is a great spot to begin experiencing Moroccan culture. Take a leisurely walk, enjoy the energy around you. Though we will dive deeper into Fes’s historic and cultural spots on our guided tour the next day, today is all about relaxing and enjoying the new sights and sounds.
As the day turns into the evening, think about having dinner at a local restaurant. Try some traditional Moroccan dishes like Tagine, a slow-cooked stew with lemons and olives, or Harira soup, which is very warming and flavorful.
