The start of our 9-day desert tour will be in Tangier. We will pick you up at Tangier port/airport and you to your accommodation. If you have enough time, we will take you to visit the American Legation, Hercules Caves, and Cape Spartel. You will also have free time to walk around the old Medina on your own.
The second day of the trip will begin by picking you up at your accommodation. We will then travel through the Rif Mountains, enjoying the beautiful mountain views along the way until we reach Chefchaouen, the blue pearl of Morocco. This city is one of the most beautiful places in the North of Morocco.
You will have enough time to discover what this city has to offer. You can take a walk around Outa Hammam Square, visit the Kasbah, see the waterfalls of Ras El Ma, and enjoy the sunset in the Spanish mosque.
The 3rd day of our 9-day desert tour from Tangier to Marrakech is a journey to Volubilis. Before that, after breakfast at your lovely riad, you will have more free time in the morning to admire the blue houses and streets of Chefchaouen.
Along the way to Volubils, we will pass through Ouazzane and other Rif towns. Once we are there, you will be amazed by the Roman ruins as you learn about this archeological site.
After seeing the ruins, we will continue our journey to Fes. The latter is known as the cultural city of Morocco and is one the oldest in the whole country. We will spend the night there and get ready for the guided tour on the next day.
Today we will explore Fes with the help of a local guide. We will get to the old Medina through the famous blue gate of Boujeloud. There are lots of great sites to see there.
To start, we will visit the famous Al Qaraouyine University. According to Guinness World Records, it is the oldest continuously functioning university in the world. The next sites we will visit are the beautiful Al Attarine and Bounania Madrassas. For history lovers, these two places must be in your plan.
The Chouara Tanneries will be also on our list. They are the largest tanneries in the whole city of Fes.
We will end our guided tour of the city by taking you to Borj Nord. From there, you will have an amazing panoramic view of the whole city.
Today, we start the fifth day of the 9-day desert tour from Tangier to Marrakech. Our destination will be the Sahara Desert of Morocco, Merzouga. Before we get there, we will make some interesting stops along the way.
The journey begins with a stop in Ifrane. It’s not a surprise that this city is called the Switzerland of Morocco because its weather, house style, and green landscapes are similar to a Swiss town. After that, we will go on to Cedar Forest, home to Barbary macaques. As you walk around in the forest, feel free to feed the monkeys and snap some pictures.
We’ll keep going to Midelt, where we’ll have a break for lunch. Then we drive along the High Atlas Mountains and make another stop at the Ziz valley for a panoramic view of the palm grove.
In the evening, we will get to the charming Merzouga Desert. You will ride the camels to the desert camp across the beautiful sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. An exciting night awaits you as you have dinner, listen to Berber music, and enjoy the starry sky.
We leave Merzouga Desert after a spectacular sunrise over the sand dunes next to the camp. Our first stop will be at the city of Rissani, the capital of Tafilalet. Next, we will make another stop in Erfoud, the city of fossils.
Afterward, we will drive to Todra Gorges, passing through the towns of Touroug and Tinejdad. The beautiful and high red cliffs on both sides of the canyon make it a great spot for climbers and photography lovers. You will have free time to walk around in the valley and enjoy the scenery.
At the end of the day, we will move to the Dades Valley. We will make a stop at the Monkey Fingers rock formation. Finally, we will end the day by taking you to relax at your accommodation.
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will go to Kelaat M’gouna and Ouarzazate through the Dades Valley. The path is called the Road of Thousand Kasbahs, and it gives you many chances to get some of the beautiful photos in the Rose Valley.
On our way to Ouarzazate, we will visit Amridil, a Kasbah with a rich and fascinating history. After that, we will head to see the Kasbah of Taourirt and explore the Atlas Studios.
The last site of today’s visit will be the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. The latter has featured in so many movies including Lawerence of Arabia and Gladiator. We will get to the red city of Marrakech and check in your accommodation.
Today, you will have a sightseeing tour of the red city of Marrakech accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide.
We will start with an exciting visit to the beautiful Bahia and El Badi Palaces. These two places are the true meaning of rich history. After that, we will show you the unique tombs of Saadian, which date back to the 16th century. They were built by the Saadians as a resting place for their ancestors.
The next place you will visit is the Koutoubia Mosque next to Jemma El Fnna Square. It is famous for its beautiful minaret and its unique architecture. The last stop of the visit will be at Majorelle Garden which is famous for its wide range of diverse plants such as palms, cacti, and more.
You will have free time in the evening to explore and walk around Jemaa El Fna square at your rhythm.
