We start our 5-day desert tour from Tetouan to Marrakech with a smooth pick-up at your accommodation. Our destination will be the blue pearl of Morocco Chefchaouen. There are lots of fun things to see and do there. The art and history of Chefchaouen can be seen at the Kasbah Museum. Wander around the well-known blue walls and visit Ras El Ma River, which offers stunning views. At the end of the day, we will go to Fes and spend the night at a traditional riad/hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will start going through Fes, Morocco’s oldest city, to see what it has to offer. We will start the guided tour by going to see the gate of the Royal Palace. Next, we will move to the Jewish quarter, which is the first Mellah in Morocco.
We will make sure you see all of the famous and historic places in the city, such as the Chouara tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the famous Al Qaraouine University, which is the oldest in the world. In the evening, you can stroll around the old Medina in your free time.
On the third day of the 5-day desert tour from Tetouan to Marrakech, we will leave Fes and drive to the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains. We will stop in the lovely town of Ifrane, which is sometimes called the Switzerland of Morocco due to its weather, buildings, and historical events. We will take a short break to walk around before we head to the cedar forest to see the Barbary monkeys living in the wild.
After that, we keep driving through the mountains, going through a lot of Berber villages and cities like Timhdit, Zaida, and Medilt. We drive further south, going over the High Atlas Mountains, and we make a stop at Ziz Valley to enjoy a stunning panoramic view.
As we get to our destination, the highlight of all of our Morocco tours, we will take you on camels across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will get to the luxury desert camp where you will have dinner, enjoy the Berber music, and admire the beautiful starry sky.
The next morning, you can get up early to watch the sunrise over the golden sand dunes next to the camp. Then, you can either ride the camels or take the car back to the village.
First, we are going to drive to the town of Rissani, where you can have a walk around the market (souk) and see the goods that the locals buy or sell. It is a unique chance to interact with them and learn more about their traditions.
Afterward, we will keep going to the Todra Gorges by going through the Amazigh (Berber) towns close to the oasis of Tinghir, which is ringed by the High Atlas Mountains. There are a lot of rock climbing spots in the Gorges, where lovers of this activity gather together. When you get there, you will have free time to walk around and admire the vistas. We end the day by taking you to spend the night in Boumalne Dades.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will go to Kalaat M’gouna and Ouarzazate through the Dades Valley. The road of Thousand Kasbahs is the name of the path, and it leads to some of the best picture possibilities in both the Rose Valley and the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.
Afterward, we will change our route to go through the High Atlas Mountains, which have beautiful views, and Berber towns to Marrakech. We get to our last destination and that marks the end of our 5-day desert tour from Tetouan to Marrakech.
