    Our 14-day desert tour in Morocco from Casablanca takes us to the best and most well-known places in the country. This 14-day/13-night Moroccan itinerary ensures that you have an unforgettable trip.

    The first place we visit is the well-known Hassan II Mosque, a one-of-a-kind place in Casablanca that is open to both Muslims and non-Muslims. Next, we travel through Tangier and Chefchaouen’s pretty blue streets. Our next stop will be Fes, a city with a lot of history and culture.     The Ideal 14-Day Morocco Tour Itinerary

    Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

    Our 2-week Morocco tour starts from Casablanca at the airport of Mohammed V. We will ensure you have a smooth transfer to your accommodation. If you arrive early, we will take you to visit the main attractions in Casablanca like the Hassan II Mosque and the Corniche of Ain Diab.

    Day 2: Casablanca - Rabat - Hercules Cave - Cape Spartel - Tangier

    Today, after having breakfast in the hotel, we will drive towards the northern part of Morocco. There are lots of great things to see on the way from Casablanca to Tangier. The famous Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca is the first stop on our trip. It is a work of art in terms of design. Afterward, we will head to Rabat to see the Kasbah of Les Oudayas, which is on the UNESCO list, visit the Hassan Tower, and see the Mausoleum of Mohammed V.

    We’ll keep going on our trip and get to Tangier, stopping at the charming caves of Hercules and Cape Spartel. This latter is where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea. Finally, we will drive to Tangier and drop you off at your accommodation. Free evening to walk around the old city on your own.

    Day 3: Tangier - Chefchaouen (the blue city)

    On the third day of our 14-day tour from Casablanca, we will take you to explore the blue pearl of Morocco, Chefchaouen.

    Our journey will take us through Tetouan, a beautiful city that is sometimes called the “White Dove.” As we drive to the blue city, we’ll stop at the beautiful Akchour waterfalls so that you can connect with nature’s beauty. Here, if you are interested, you can have a hike to the Big waterfalls, around 2 hours walking! Or you can simply hike to god’s bridge which takes only around 30 minutes.

    Afterward, we will continue our trip to the beautiful town of Chefchaouen. It is known for its unique blue houses and alleys. This charming place will be our peaceful place for the night. When arriving, you can check in at the hotel, leave your luggage, and start hiking to the Spanish mosque for the sunset. On your way, take in the beautiful streets and discover the hidden corners.

    Day 4: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Fes

    After having breakfast in the hotel/riad, you will have more time to discover the area. Chefchaouen is a hidden gem in the Rif Mountains and is popular as the blue pearl of Morocco. You will have more time in the morning to explore it and take a walk around its beautiful streets and alleys. Usually, it gets less crowded at this time, so it is your chance to enjoy the charm of the city.

    After a lovely time in the blue city, we will continue our Moroccan journey to the next attraction. Our trip takes us to the beautiful Volubilis with its historical Roman ruins that tell stories from the past. Finally, after visiting this interesting place and having lunch, we will head to Fes. It is the oldest city in Morocco where people still live. We will spend the night there and get ready for a guided tour the next day.

    Day 5: Fes Guided Tour

    The fifth day will be dedicated to exploring the cultural capital of Morocco. Fes is the oldest and the most important in Morocco in terms of art and history. It dates back to the 9th century and has the most interesting places for travelers to visit.

    Today’s plan is going to be divided into two parts. On the first hand, we will take the car and visit interesting places outside of the old city. On the other hand, we will have a friendly local guide who will take us around the old city.

    First, we will take the car to visit the Royal palace with its main 7 silver gates and learn about their history. Next, We will drive to Borj North for the panoramic view of the old city. Then, we will visit the ceramic factory where they make the handmade tiles.

    Afterward, the experienced local guide will show you the most important parts of the Medina. You will visit Islamic schools including Bounania Madrassa as well as Al-Qarawiyyin University, which was the first university in the world. On the list are also the tanneries, the Blue Gate, and the Mausoleum of Idriss I. Finally, you will have a Free evening to explore by yourself.

    Day 6: Fes - Ifrane - Cedar Forest - Merzouga Desert

    On this day of the 2-week Morocco tour from Casablanca, we will leave for Merzouga in the beautiful Sahara desert. We will see many interesting things along the way. Each place has its unique charm.

    First, we start the day by visiting and walking around the city of Ifrane to see the stunning Atlas Lion Statue. Furthermore, we will stop at the cedar forest. A green and charming place in the Middle Atlas Mountains. This place is popular for the Barbary Macaques that live there. They are very friendly creatures and used to people, so, if you want you can get closer, feed them, and take pictures at the same time!

    Next, we will travel through the beautiful red-yellow Atlas Mountains and the Ziz Valley. We will pause to get great views and pictures of this beautiful scenery. Late in the afternoon, we will arrive in the Merzouga Desert. We will take you to your riad/hotel to spend the night and get ready to discover the region the next day.

    Day 7: Merzouga Discovery Tour - Camel Trekking - Camping

    After a delicious Moroccan breakfast at the hotel, we will start our 4×4 exploration trip. Today, you will learn more about the desert its people, and how they survive in this harsh climate.

    First, we are going to drive to Khamlia,  a Berber village where people who originated from Subsaharien countries live, you will be amazed by their unique spiritual and tribal music. While having a delicious cup of tea, we will enjoy a show of Gnaoua music and dance. After that, we will travel offroad through the black desert to the mines of Mascara. The place is called Mifis and was once a French property. Here, you are going to have a hike up the hill and the mines of mascara to see how they extract the powder that they use as a traditional eyeliner.

    Moreover, and not far from the mines, we are going to visit the Berber nomads. These people are the original citizens of the desert and they still live a simple life in bedouin tents. With your driver/guide, you can learn more about their lifestyle and how they survive in the desert environment.

    As the day comes to an end, we will ride the camels for an hour through the Erg Chebbi sand dunes to get to your desert camp. Enjoy a beautiful sunset and a stunning Berber music show at night while looking at the sky full of stars.

    Day 8: Merzouga - Rissani - Todra Gorges - Dades Gorges

    Start the day by waking up early for the sunrise. You can enjoy it on top of nearby dunes. After that, get back to the camp for a tasty breakfast. Then, you can ride camels or take the 4×4 car from the camp back to the village where you meet your driver.

    Our first stop will be Rissani where we will visit its traditional market. If you are lucky to be there on Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday, the market gets very busy with local people. It is a good chance to interact with them. Next, we will drive to the stunning Todra Gorges. You will have free time to walk around and enjoy the beautiful views there.

    We will continue to Dades Gorges. We’ll stop along the way to enjoy the beautiful Monkey Finger Mountains and the interesting Tissdrine curves. Finally, we will check into your hotel for the overnight. 

    Day 9: Dades Gorges - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech

    On the ninth day of the 14-day Morocco tour from Casablanca, we will drive through the Dades Valley on our way to the Rose Valley and Ouarzazate. This road is known as the “Thousand Kasbahs Road.” First, we are going to drive across the Rose Valley, which is famous for its Damask roses and cosmetic products. 

    Thereafter, we will travel to Ouarzazate, or the Hollywood of Africa as Moroccans like to call it. Here, we will take you to visit the Atlas Studios where they make movies. Not far from this latter, we will explore Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a still-standing fortress in the middle of the Ounila River. It is the biggest and most famous Kasbah in Morocco. It was built by Thami El Glaoui, who was one of the last Berber chieftains.

    We continue our journey through the High Atlas Mountains which offers great opportunities for photographs. Moreover, we will make some stops so that you can enjoy the panoramic views. Finally, when you arrive in Marrakech, we drop you off at your accommodation. Free evening to enjoy the Square of Jamaa El Fna!

    Day 10: Marrakech Guided Trip

    The 10th day of the 14-day Morocco tour from Casablanca is dedicated to visiting the red city. The lively Marrakech offers many fun things to see and do that will help you learn more about the country’s diversity.

    Because most of the attractions are in the old narrow streets of the Madina, we will have a friendly yet knowledgeable local guide who will show us around. First, we will walk across the busy Jamaa El Fnaa Square and the Koutoubia Mosque standing out in the background like a candle. Get ready to see unique things like the snake charmers storytellers, Henna artists, and the colorful markets. Moreover, we are going deeper into the old city to visit the Ben Youssef Madrassa which was a Quranic school and a teaching center in the past. The place has beautiful architecture! 

    Next are the Palaces of El Badi and Bahia with their amazing designs. Furthermore, in the late afternoon, we will drive to the Majorelle Gardens, which are a calm place where art and nature gather together. Finally, We will drop you off at your accommodation, a free evening on your own!

    Day 11: Marrakech - Day Trip To Ouzoud Waterfalls

    Today, we are going for a fun day trip to see the Ouzoud waterfalls. This natural beauty is one of the most interesting and well-known falls to visit in Morocco. It is about 160 km east of Marrakech and the trip takes around three hours. You will have enough time during the day to enjoy the views and the lovely waterfalls. At the end of the day, we will get you back to Marrakech for the overnight.

    Day 12: Marrakech - Essaouira Day Trip

    As part of our 14-day desert tour in Morocco from Casablanca, we will leave for a day trip to Essaouira. People love this spot for its lovely beaches and tasty seafood, definitely, one of the best coastal cities in Morocco.

    In Essaouira, we will take you to the busy port area, the Citadel, and the ancient Sqala Kasbah. You will have free time to explore at your own pace through Essaouira’s old Medina. Take in all the beauty of the city, have a walk by the beach, and maybe jump in the water! Finally, in the late afternoon, we will drive back to Marrakech.

    Day 13: Marrakech - Day Trip To Ourika

    Today, get ready for a day trip to Ourika Valley to enjoy the lovely Atlas mountains. We will go through the lovely El Houz Plains and end up at Setti Fatma town after crossing the river. It’s a quiet place where Moroccans can get away from the city’s noise and enjoy the calmness.  If you are a hiking lover, you can hike to the waterfalls up the mountains. Later in midday, you can get back near the river and enjoy a Moroccan meal listening to the running water. Finally, in the late afternoon, we will take you back to Marrakech.

    Day 14: Marrakech - Transfer To The Airport

    The last day of the 14-day journey in Morocco is here. Today, you can choose to be dropped off in the busy city center of Casablanca, or transfer you to the airport. This 14-day Morocco itinerary is customizable, so please let us know if you want to make any changes!
