Our 7-day Morocco tour from Casablanca to Marrakech is the best way to tour Morocco. The blue pearl of Morocco Chefchaouen, Fes, Merzouga Desert, and the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou will be the main parts of our journey.
Our tour begins in northern Morocco, with visits to the capital Rabat, and the charming blue pearl of Chefchaouen. Prepare to be amazed by the rich history of Fes as we head to this amazing city across the Roman ruins of Voulibilis.
The journey continues as we make a few stops in Ifrane, Cedar Forest, and Ziz Valley before we reach the Desert of Merzouga.
The camel trekking and the night at the desert camp under a sky full of stars await! Witnessing the sunset and the sunrise on top of the dunes is a must-do activity.
Our adventure takes us to discover more places including Rissani and Todra gorges. The final stops will be at the city of Ouarzazate and the Berber Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou.
Here are the tour highlights:
We start the tour by picking you up from the airport of Casablanca. We will transfer you to your accommodation to relax. If you have enough time, we will take you to visit the Hassan II mosque.
The second day of the 7-day Morocco desert tour from Casablanca will be a journey to the blue city of Chefchaouen.
Our journey begins after breakfast with a trip to Rabat, an important city full of history. There, you’ll have the chance to visit the architectural wonders of Rabat like the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Oudaya Kasbah.
The final destination will be Chaouen, the “Blue Pearl” of Morocco. With its blue-painted houses and narrow alleys, this city is worth a visit.
Discovering the gems of Morocco continues on day three of our 7-day desert vacation from Casablanca. In the fabulous town of Chefchaouen, the morning is yours to explore and wander around the beautiful blue houses at your own pace.
As we travel towards Fes, prepare to be transported back in time with a visit to the Roman ruins of Volubilis. History and amazing architecture are both combined here.
At the end of the day, we’ll arrive in Fes for a relaxing overnight stay at a local hotel/riad.
Get ready to explore the amazing city of Fes on today’s plan. In the morning, a friendly local guide will meet you at your hotel to take you on a fun cultural tour.
First up, we’ll visit the big King’s Palace and the old Jewish neighborhood, called the Mellah. Then, we’ll head to Borj Nord for a panoramic view of the whole city.
Next, we’ll enter the old Medina of Fes through the famous blue gate. There, you can explore the exciting main streets filled with shops and markets. One of these streets even has the oldest university in the world, called al-Qarawiyyin.
We’ll also visit a special place where they make leather using colorful dyes called the Chouara Tanneries. Free time in the evening to explore more at your own pace.
Today, we will drive south to the Merzouga Desert. The first stop will be in Ifrane, a cool and pretty town in the Middle Atlas Mountains. Next, we go to a big forest with many cedar trees in Azrou. There are many monkeys there called Barbary macaques. You can take pictures and feed them if you want. We’ll also drive through the valley of Ziz with its amazing views, perfect for more pictures.
In the afternoon, we reach Merzouga, the land of the desert. There, we swap our car for a camel and ride across the sandy desert. Watch a beautiful sunset from a tall dune before spending the night at a luxury camp under the stars.
Today, it is advisable to wake up early to see the amazing sunrise on top of the sand dunes.
The next stop is a busy town called Rissani, famous for its big souk. You can walk around it and explore for some time.
After the market visit, we’ll visit Todra Gorges. This place is a gem in the Atlas mountains, perfect for rock climbing. Take your time to look around.
We’ll have lunch at a restaurant on the way and then drive to Boumalne Dades, a charming town in the Dades Valley. We stay there for the overnight.
This is the last day of the trip. We’ll first drive through a valley full of roses near a town called Kalaat M’Gouna. In May, they even have a rose festival there.
Afterward, we’ll drive through a place with many palm trees on our way to Ouarzazate.
Then, we will head to see a really old Berber fortress called Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. A lot of movies and series were filmed there.
After lunch, we’ll drive through big mountains and enjoy panoramic views along the way. Finally, we reach Marrakech and take you to your hotel and that marks the end of our awesome 7-day Morocco desert tour from Casablanca.
