One of them will be at an altitude of 2260 m.
The first main stop of the day is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou. It is where you’ll wander through the ancient kasbah, which was once a station for the trading camel caravans to stop by. Nowadays, it is famous for its appearance in many films and still attracts directors and moviemakers from all over the world.
Next, after having lunch, we will move on to a similar place, the world of cinema at Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate. Here, you can have a guided tour inside the film sets. As the sun goes down, we’ll drive through the Rose Valley, passing by timeless Berber villages. Finally, we will reach the hotel to relax, where a traditional Moroccan dinner (included) awaits.
Day two of our journey from Marrakech brings more wandering as we go deeper into the southeast of Morocco. Begin your day with a Moroccan breakfast before heading to Todra Gorge. It is where nature’s towering rock canyons create a beautiful and charming gorge with a running river. Feel free to have time for hiking to appreciate the beauty of this gem. Next is a stop at a local restaurant near Todra Gorge for lunch (not included).
After that, we will go through the desert town of Erfoud, famous for its unique fossils. We can pay a visit to one of the factories in the area and see all the different types of fossils they have. Finally, we are very close to the highlight of the trip, Merzouga! Arriving at the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, you will enjoy a smooth camel trek through the Sahara towards your desert camp. When you reach the camp, you can grab the sand board and climb the sand dunes, sliding and watching the desert sunrise. You will spend the night at a traditional or luxury desert camp, dining under the stars to the rhythms of traditional Berber music.

By late afternoon, we will arrive in the cedar forest, where we can see the Barbary Macaques. Not far from this latter, we will visit the little Switzerland of Morocco, Ifrane.
