Our journey continues to the Dades Valley along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.” Get ready for incredible views of this huge valley with tiny oases and many old fortresses. Start your exciting day with a tasty breakfast in the beautiful Dades Valley. Then, we’ll hit the road for a scenic drive through the Dades Canyon. Keep your eyes wide open for old kasbahs (fortresses) and charming Berber villages scattered throughout the area. These villages used to be lively spots along trade routes until the early 20th century, and their history makes this place even more interesting.
As we drive, the scenery will change a lot. We’re heading to Tinghir and Todra Gorges, a valley full of green palm trees. You’ll be amazed by the tall canyons of yellow and red rock on both sides of the road. We’ll take a walk inside the Todra Gorges so you can fully appreciate the beauty of this natural wonder.
Next, we’ll go on a road trip to Merzouga, where the incredible Erg Chebbi dunes are waiting! Here, you’ll hop on a camel for a ride to your authentic Desert camp. It will take about 1 hour to get there. During the trek, we will stop to watch a breathtaking sunset over the dunes. It’s a magical moment you’ll never forget! If you’re up for it, you can also try sandboarding down the dunes – an exciting activity that’ll get your heart racing. Don’t forget your camera – you’ll want to capture these special moments.
As the sun sets, we’ll continue on our camel desert tour to the camp. You’ll be greeted warmly with a refreshing glass of mint tea. The evening ahead is going to be amazing. Relax by the campfire, gaze at the starry sky, enjoy a tasty dinner, and listen to the sounds of Berber music. Finally, settle in for a peaceful night under the desert sky full of stars, right in the heart of the Merzouga sand dunes.

Your guide will take you through the narrow streets, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Fes was more than just a historical spot. For hundreds of years, it was a busy place for trade and culture.
As you walk around, you will see busy workshops where skilled workers keep old traditions alive. Visit the tanneries of Chouara, one of the oldest in the country to see how they dye leather.
The local guided trip ends around the afternoon. After that, you will have free time to explore by yourself. You can start from the Blue Gate and enjoy the stunning views of the Madina.
Today, our 7-day tour from Marrakech takes us to Chefchaouen, the Blue Pearl of Morocco. However, before we reach this charming town, we will make some interesting stops to dive deeper into Moroccan history.
Our first stop is the imperial city of Meknes. Get ready to explore historical sites like Bab Mansour, Lhdim Square, Qara Prison, and many more. Next, we will drive through the mountains to visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis.
After a historical exploration, we will hit the road towards Chefchaouen. We will arrive around the afternoon. Check-in the hotel and get ready to discover. Colorful shades of blue make the old medina one of the highlights of our trip. Take a walk through the narrow blue streets, filled with bright shops. For the sunset, you can go on a hike to the Spanish mosque for a great panoramic view. When coming back, you can head to the square of Uta Hammam. It is a charming place with lots of restaurants and street shows.
Start the day with a walk through the blue streets of Chefchaouen. Usually, it gets less crowded in the morning. Enjoy breakfast in Chefchaouen, then we depart to Casablanca. We’ll ensure you reach your flight on time! If you don’t have your flight today, then we will drop you off at your accommodation.

This concludes your 7-day Marrakech Imperial Cities desert tour!
“This 7-day trip from Marrakech was an incredible part of our honeymoon in Morocco. Our driver, Hassan, was excellent the whole way through — very funny warm, and accommodating to any stop or small detour we wanted to make. The highlights for us were visiting Chefchaouen and riding through the Sahara desert by camel. Our camp in the desert was much more modern and comfortable than we expected – better than some of the riads we stayed at during our trip. They even surprised us with a song, dance, and cake to celebrate our honeymoon. It was genuinely one of the nicest moments we’ve experienced, and we’ll remember it forever.”
“We had a great experience with Morocco Vacations. We did the private 7 desert tour from Marrakech to the desert and imperial cities. Our driver and guide, Hamid, was on time, safe, knowledgeable, and willing to stop at any point to take pictures with us. He even helped us try to arrange/confirm travel arrangements as restrictions were being put in place due to the coronavirus. The stay in the desert was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The staff was friendly and entertaining, the dinner was great, and the tents were wonderful. I also liked the blue city, we had a great time there walking through the blue streets. I highly recommend this travel agency!”
